Dear Student,

alternate solution-

2/5A +40 = 2/7B +20
2/7B = 2/5A + 20
B = 7/2 ( 2/5A + 20) = 7/5A + 70
2/5A +40 = 9/17C +10
9/17C = 2/5A +30
C = 17/9( 2/5A +30) = 34/45A + 170/3
A + 7/5A +70 + 34/45A + 170/3 = 600
( 45A + 63A + 34A) /45 = 530 - 170/3 = 1420/3
142A /45 = 1420/3
A = 1420/3 x 45/142 = Rs 150 ANS.

another way-
Go by option-
ake 150
150*2/5+40=100
For B
(2/7)B+20=100
B=280
For C
289/17C+10=100
C=170
Now 150+170+280=600
It means 150 is correct
