sol lcm mistake (Question: 184381.0 )

lcm is 1680 not 180

Question:

The LCM of two numbers is 28 times of their HCF. The sum of their LCM and HCF is 1740. If one of the numbers is 240. Find the other number.

Options:
A) 240
B) 540
C) 620
D) 420
Solution:

Ans: (d) Let HCF = x 

LCM = 28x

x + 28x = 1740

HCF = 60 and LCM = 28 × 60 = 1680

First number × second number = HCF × LCM

Second number = \(\cfrac{60×1680}{240}\) = 420
