DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, sentence has been given in Direct/Indirect Speech. Out of the four alternatives suggested select the one which best expresses the same sentence in Indirect/Direct Speech.

I said to Swapna, “Why do you want to go abroad? Where actually do you want to go?”

Solution: (b) It is an Interrogative sentence 

(a) Reporting verb is changed into ask or enquire of. 

(b) If the sentence begins with who, which, what, how, when, where, why etc., these are not changed and if or whether is not used.

Present simple tense into Past simple.
