compare 1 & 2
19A=18*25+A+15
18A=465, A=465/18.


total money spent(s) = no.of persons*average,
S=19*465/18...... sir is there any wrong.... please explain

Question:

Out of 19 persons, 18 persons spent Rs.25 each for their meals. The 19th one spent Rs.15 more than the average expenditure of all the other. The total money spent by all of them was (in Rs.)

B) 196
C) 300
D) 490

k k sorry, i realise my mistake.. sir if 19th person spends 15 more than the avg of all 19 members,, my explanation is write or wrong??

Dear Student,
18 persons spent 25 rs each , so their average is 25 .
It is said that the 19th person spends 15 more than the average of remaining others.
It means 19th person spends = 15 + 25 = 40
Total money spent = (25*18) + 40= 450 + 40 = 490
