simple solution (Question: 273505.0 )

triangle JML similar to tringle LNM....so JM/LN = JL/LM.... we can get LN= 48/5...so area of ractangle JLNO is 48/5 * 20=192
SHORT CUT-- in these type of q. the area of both of the ractangle is same

Question:

JKLM is a rectangle of dimensions 16 cm and 12 cm. JLNO is a rectangle drawn in such a way that diagonal JL of the first rectangle is one side and side opposite to it is touching the first rectangle at M as shown in the given figure. What is the area of rectangle JLNO ?

192 cm2

182.5 cm2

212 cm2
