there is a simpler method than that.
suppose we have a fraction 1/3,2/5,4/7,3/5.
consider it as
1/3 , 1*2/5 , 1*4/7 , 1*3/5
now
1*100/3 = 33% approx.
100/5= 20%*2=40
100/7 = 14 approx=14*4=56
100/5= 20%*3=60
now we have the series
33 , 40 , 56 , 60
so this is how we determine the sequence
