short solution for this question please...i am not able to understand the above mentioned solution clearly.

Question:
A alone can reap a certain field in 15 days and B in 12 days. If A begins alone and after a certain interval B joins him the field is reaped in 7\(\cfrac{1}{2}\) days. How long did A and B work together?
Options:
A) 3 days
B) 6 days
C) 7 days
D) 12 days
