Can u please provide shortcut for it.

Question:
The length and breadth of a rectangular park are in the ratio 8 : 5. A path, 1.5 m wide running around the out side of the park has an area of 594 m2. The dimension of the park are :
Options:
A) 120 m, 75 m
B) 110m, 85 m
C) 100m, 95 m
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (a) Let the length and breadth of the park be 8x and 5x metres respectively.

\(\therefore\) Area of the park \(=(8x\times5x)m^2=40x^2\ m^2\)

Length of park including the path = (8x + 3) m

Breadth of park including the path = (5x + 3) m

\(\therefore\) Area of the park including the path \(=(8x+3)\ (5x+3)m^2\)

\(\therefore\) Area of the path \(=(8x+3)\ (5x+3)-40x^2=(39x+9)m^2\)

\(\therefore\) 39x + 9 = 594

\(\Rightarrow\) x = 15

\(\therefore\) Length = \((8\times15)=120m\)

Breadth = \((5\times15)=75m\)

short trick ye try kar sakte ho:-
(l+b+2w)w = 594 ( lw+bw + 2w^2 ) (two squares of w side adds on corner)
(8x+5x+3)*3=594
x=15
sides 120,75
