Shouldn't it be 180 + 18*13 + 15*10

Question:
A rectangle based pyramid, length and width of the base are 18cm and 10cm respectively. Find the total surface area, if its height is 12cm.
Options:
A) 267 cm2
B) 568 cm2
C) 580 cm2
D) None of these
Solution:

Ans (c):

Given that,

Height, PU=QX=RV=WS= 12 cm

Length, AB=DC=18 cm

Width, AD=BC=10 cm

Now,

Total Surface Area = Area of Rectangle ABCD + 2(Area of triangle BRC) + 2(Area of triangle DSC)

= 18x10 + 2(\(\cfrac{1}{2}\times BC \times RV\)) + 2(\(\cfrac{1}{2}\times DC \times WS\))

=180+ 13x10 + 18x15

=180+130+270

=580
