Smaller the numbers greater the difference

Question:

If \(x = \sqrt[]{6}-\sqrt[]{5}, y = \sqrt[]{5}-2, z = 2-\sqrt[]{3}\), then which of the following is true?

Options:
A) y < x < z
B) x < z < y
C) y < z < x
D) x < y < z
Solution:

Ans(D)

x = \(\sqrt[]{6}-\sqrt[]{5}= 0.2134 \)

y = \(\sqrt[]{5} - 2 =0.2360\)

z = \(2-\sqrt[]{3}= 0.2679\)

Therefore x<y<z
