how come its 1/8

Question:
A can do a piece of work in 12 days. B is 50% more efficient than A. In how may days will B finish the same work ?  
Options:
A) 6 days
B) 8 days
C) 12 days
D) 24 days

do it with ratio method....
A:B= 1:1.5 ...
Suppose total units are 12. A's efficiency is 1 then B's efficiency will be 1.5( as B is 50% more efficient than A)
So If A Completes the work in 12 days then B will do it in 12/1.5 days= 8 days..... hope u understand rathi :)
