the hcf should be 72. pls check once

Question:

If three numbers are in the ratio 3:5:6 and their LCM Is 2160, then find their HCF.

Options:
A) 60
B) 81
C) 30
D) 72
Solution:
Ans: (d)

 Let the three numbers be 3x, 5x and 6x

So theirL.C.M. = 3x*5x* 6x= 30x

so, \(\Rightarrow\)30x = 2160

x = 72

 the numbers are (3 x 72), (5 x 72), and (6 x 72)

Hence, required H.C.F. = 72

Here,
3x : 5x : 6x
x=24
So
(3*24) : (5*24) : (6 *24)
72 : 120 : 144
Common factors of 72 are 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3
Common factors of 120 are 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 5
Common factors of 144 are 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3
Now the common factor in all the three numbers are = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3=24
Given answer is correct.
