it is not clearly mentioned as number of books with new rate (finally ) or old rate (initially) .option(c) is true with old rate

Question:

A certain number of books were purchased for Rs.300. Five more books could have been purchased in the same amount if each book was cheaper by Rs.10. The number of books purchased was:

Options:
A) 20
B) 15
C) 10
D) 18
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Checking from option (c)

Let the number of books = 10

So, the price of one book = \(\unicode{x20B9} \)30

A.T.Q.,

If the price of one book = 30 – 10 = \(\unicode{x20B9} \)20

Then, the number of books =\(\cfrac{300}{20}=15\)

& the difference of books = 15 – 10 = 5
