it has been asked how many wickets till the last match. and correct answer should be 90

Question:
A cricketer gives 12.4 runs per wicket. He gives 26 runs and takes 5 wicket in a match after which his average becomes 12 per wicket. How many wickets had been taken till the last match?
Options:
A) 85
B) 90
C) 65
D) 72
Solution:

 \(\frac{12.4\times x +26}{x+5}\) = 12

12.4x + 26 = 12x + 60

0.4x = 34

x=  \(\frac{34}{0.4}\) or \(\frac{340}{4}\)  = 85
