IN THE GIVEN QUESTION THERE IS NOWHERE GIVEN THE RELATION BETWEEN THE HEIGHT AND SHADOW OF THE MAN AND THE POLE.

BUT IN THE SOLUTION YOU ARBITRARILY TAKE BOTH THE RATIO AS EQUAL..

PLEASE EXPLAIN..

Question:
A man of height 169 cm is standing near a pole. He casts a shadow 130 cm long. What is the length of the pole if it gives a shadow 420 cm long?
Options:
A) 550 cm
B) 589 cm 
C) 323 cm 
D) 546 cm

Observe clearly , for same point the angle formed by both the shadows is same ...Thus they will form equilateral triangle
