question explanation from my view (Question: 361302.0 )

I think we can get more idea by making the model using a rectangular paper. cut four corners as they said. Fold the four sides and we will get a box with uncovered top. the height will be 2cm, length 25-2=23cm and width 20-2=18cm. so volume will be l*b*h that is 23*18*2.

Question:

From four corners of a rectangular sheet of dimensions 25 cm × 20 cm, square of side 2 cm is cut from four corners and a box is made. The volume of the box is  –

Options:
A)

828 cm3

B)

672 cm3

C)

500 cm3

D)

1000 cm3

sorry for the mistake in calculation, since 2 cm of each corner is gone, length will become 25-2-2=21 and breadth 20-2-2=16
