THERE SHOULD BE 1750 INSTEAD OF 750 IN QUESTION

Question:
The first book authored by Rajeev had 1000 pages in it, out of which 50 pages were copied from some other and hence, it was 95% original. In his second book of 750 pages, at the most how many pages can he copy from the other authors so as to maintain 97% originality, on all average in the books he has authored?
Options:
A) Just 1 page
B) up to 2 pages
C) up to 3 pages
D) He should not copy at all
Solution:
Ans: (b) Let he copy x pages from second book

\(\cfrac{1750-(x+50)}{1750}\times 100=97\)

\(\cfrac{1700-x}{1750}\times 100=97\Rightarrow x=2\cfrac{1}{2}\)
