you are saying moment of inertia will be the same for a cone, cylinder or a sphere with same mass, angular velocity and axis of rotation??

Question:
The moment of inertia of a body does not depend upon –
Options:
A) Mass
B) Shape
C) Angular Velocity
D) Axis of Rotation
Solution:
Ans:(b) The basic relationship between the moment of inertia and the angular acceleration is that the larger the moment of inertia, the smaller the angular acceleration. The moment of inertia depends not only on the mass of an object, but also on its distribution of mass relative to the axis around which it rotates.

The moment of inertia does not depend on its shape.
