plzz explain the logic

Question:
On being divided by a three digit number, the numbers 95336 and 91545 leave the same remainder. Find the number and the remainder.
Options:
A) 234 and 109 
B) 233 and 105
C) 223 and 115
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (c) Difference between given numbers 

= 95336 – 91545

= 3791

= 17 × 223

95336 = 223 × 427 + 115

So, the number and remainder are 223 and 115 respectively.

Dear Student,

Let us consider the three digit number and b the remainder. then

ax+b=95336 and

ay+b=91545

so a(x-y) = 3791

3791 on being factorized gives 3791=223 *17.

Dividing 95336 & 91545 by 223 we get the remainder 115 in both cases.
