can any body solve it?

Question:

If the average of two numbers \(x\) and \(\cfrac{1}{x}\) (where \(x\)\(\neq\)0) is A, then what will be the average of \(x^3\) and \(\cfrac{1}{x^3}\)?

Options:
A) 4A3 – A
B) 4A3 – 2A
C) 4A3 – 3A
D) 4A3 – 4A

Dear Student,
Please refer the below solution,

As x + 1/ x = 2A

We know that (x+1/x)^3 = x^3 + (1/x)^3 + 3 ( x+1/x)
( 2A) ^3 = x^3 + (1/x)^3 + 3 ( 2A)
Therefore x^3 + (1/x)^3 = 8A^3 - 6A

For average , divide it by 2 you get , 4A^3 - 3A
