sum is 126 in the question. It should be changed to 126 n,

Question:
The average of the terms of the given series (152, 150, 148, 146, 144 .......) is 126. then, the total number of terms in this series will be –
Options:
A) 24
B) 23
C) 27
D) 29
Solution:
Ans: (c) Let the number in the given AP be n.

\(\therefore\)  Sn  = \(\cfrac{n}{2}\) [2a + (n–1) d]

126n = \(\cfrac{n}{2}\) [2 × 152 + (n–1) (–2) ]

252 = 304 + (n–1) (–2)

252 = 304 – 2n + 2

  27 = n

So,the number of terms = 27
