(i) Friday comes before three days from Monday. 

(ii) sunday comes before one days From Monday.

Hi Akash,

Shyam reached three days before Scheduled day and he reached on Friday, which means Scheduled day is after three days of friday i.e
MONDAY. Now, if he had reached on sunday, then it would be one day earlier of the scheduled day.
Hence, the answer is (a).
