Question:
Which interchange of signs will make the following equation correct?

(16  – 4) x 6 \(\div\) 2 + 8 = 30

Options:
A) \(\div\) and –
B) + and \(\div\)
C) – and +
D) \(\times\) and \(+\)
Solution:
Ans-(a); Given that:

          (16  – 4) x 6 \(\div\) 2 + 8 = 30

After interchanging the signs \(\div\) and \(-\) ,

            (16 \(\div\) 4) x 6 \(-\) 2 + 8 = 30

   \(\Rightarrow4\times6-2+8=30\Rightarrow24-2+8=30\Rightarrow22+8=30\Rightarrow30=30.\)
