Please Elaborate

Question:
16 women take 12 days to complete a work which can be completed by 12 men in 8 days, 16 men started working and after 3 days 10 men left and 4 women joined them. How many days will it take them to complete the remaining work?
Options:
A) 4
B) 6
C) 8
D) 10
Solution:

\(\therefore\) Total work = 16 × 1 × 12        (from I)

                    = 192 units

Now, work done by 16 men in 3 days

= 16 × 2 × 3

= 96 units

Now, 10 mens left and 4 women join

and remaining work = 192 – 96 = 96 unit

\(\therefore\) Time to complete the remaining work

Dear Student ,
Total Work = Men * days
Given that 12 men complete work in 8 days
Therefore work = 12*8
And again given that 16 mens started working for 3 days ,
Therefore work completed = 16 *3 / 12*8 = 1/2
Remaining work = 1-1/2 = 1/2
Now apply the formula as given in the solution and put work as 1/2.
