Question:

DIRECTIONS In the question below, there are few statements followed by few conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusion logically follow(s) from the given statements.

Statements:

All the helicopters are carriers.

Some bikes are carriers.

Conclusion:

1. All the helicopters are bikes.

2. Some bikes are helicopters.

Options:
A) Only conclusion 1 follows.
B) Both conclusions 1 and 2 follow.
C) Only conclusion 2 follows.
D) Neither conclusion 1 nor 2 follows.
Solution:

Conclusion:

1. All the helicopters are bikes → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.

2. Some bikes are helicopters → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.

Thus, neither conclusion 1 nor 2 follows.
