Question:

Two trains P and Q start at the same time in the opposite directions from two points and both the trains after crossing a certain point C arrives at Q and P after  312    and  445    hours respectively. At what speed is the second train Q running if the first is running at the speed of  8 km/hrs.?

Dear Student,

Please read the question carefully, P and Q fixed point. both the train crossing at a certain point is C,
the train which start from P point reached at point Q after 3 1/2 hours, thus distance between P and Q is 25 Km by using the formula of speed= Distance/ time, This distance is same for second train which reach point P from Q. Thus given answer is correct.
