(3*2)-(3+2)=1

If 1 * 2 = 1; 2 * 3 = –1; 3 * 4 = –5 then 7 * 9 = ?
Options:
A) – 47
B) – 29
C) – 2
D) – 9
Solution:
Ans: (a) 1 * 2 \(\Rightarrow\) (1 + 2) – (1 × 2) = 1

2 * 3 = (2 + 3) – (2 × 3) = –1

3 * 4 = (3 + 4) – (3 × 4) = – 5 

Similarly,

7 * 9 = (7 + 9) – (7 × 9) = – 47
