Question:
In a factory 80% of the employees are males. Among them 20% are matriculated and the remaining are graduates. Among the females, 25% are matriculates and the remaining are graduates. If the total number of female employees in the factory is 600, how many graduates are there in the factory?
Options:
A) 2370
B) 3000
C) 1940
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (a) Percentage of female = 20%

\(\therefore\) number of males \(=600\times \cfrac{80}{20}=2400\)

Now number of male graduates = 80% of 2400 = 1920 
number of female graduates = 75% of 600 = 450 
\(\therefore\) total number of graduates = 1920 + 450 = 2370
