The area of faces is given 30 sq cm. Is'nt it mean that it is the combined area of all the four faces of the cuboid.

Question:
The area of the base of a cuboidal box is 21 sq. cm and the area of the faces is 30 sq. cm. The numerical value of each of the dimensions of the box is an integer greater  than 1. Then the volume of the cuboidal box (in cu. cm) is –
Options:
A) 120
B) 105
C) 210
D) 630
Solution:
Ans: (c) Area of base 21 sq. cm

Area of faces = 30 sq. cm

So, length = HCF of (area of base & area of faces)

                                = 3 cm

So, volume of cuboidal box = \(\cfrac{21 × 30}{3}\)

= 210 cm3

Dear Student,

In this question, area of faces is 30 sq m. means one face is 30sq m. thus there parallel face is also 30 sq m. now we have a base area and a face area and we get all dimensions with the help of both
area.
