talking about your solution, you can not put x=1 in option b, as then the divisor (x-1) will become 0
and if you put x=2, it becomes, 65/(2-1) with the remainder as 0

all the options as well as the solution is wrong as of now, if there is a typing error, please correct it

option a is also wrong
as for x=1, it becomes, (1+1)/(1+1)=>remainder=0

option c is also wrong
as for x=1, it also becomes, (1+1)/(1+1)=>remainder=0

option d is also wrong
as for x=1, it becomes, 65/1=>remainder =0

Question:

Which one of the following statement is correct?

Options:
A)

If x6 + 1 is divided by x + 1, then the remainder is -2

B)

If x6 + 1 is divided by x - 1, then the remainder is 2

C)

If x6 + 1 is divides by x + 1, then the remainder is 1

D) If x+1 is divided by x - 1, then the remainder is -1
Solution:
Ans: (b)

\(\therefore\) (a) is not correct.

    (b) x = 1

 x6 + 1 = (1)6 + 1 = 1+1 = 2 =  remainder

\(\therefore\) (b) is correct statement

Dear Student,
The given answer is correct.
Please refer this ,
When we divide a polynomial f(x) by x-c the remainder r equals f(c)
Here C = 1 , then remainder= f(c) = f(1) =(1)^6+1 = 1+1 = 2.
