how you could say m2 is 8 although you didnot mention about efficiency of the men and women

Question:
16 women take 12 days to complete a work which can be completed by 12 men in 8 days, 16 men started working and after 3 days 10 men left and 4 women joined them. How many days will it take them to complete the remaining work?
Options:
A) 4
B) 6
C) 8
D) 10
Solution:

\(\therefore\) Total work = 16 × 1 × 12        (from I)

                    = 192 units

Now, work done by 16 men in 3 days

= 16 × 2 × 3

= 96 units

Now, 10 mens left and 4 women join

and remaining work = 192 – 96 = 96 unit

\(\therefore\) Time to complete the remaining work

considering Women's efficiency x and men's y; 16*x*12 =12*y*8; y=2x; 16*2x*3/0.5=(6*2x+4*x)D/0.5; hence (b)
