DIRECTIONS: Following questions ore based on the table given below which represents the percentage growth in the volume of sales of five brands of motor bikes across the years mentioned and the projected increase for the period 2000-2005:

The sales of Kawasaki TF-910 in 2000 were 2,64,000 and the projected sales of Aprilla AS-X100 for 2005 are 5,44,500. What is the ratio of the sales of Kawasaki TF-910 to that of Aprill AS-X100 in 1990?
Options:
A) 2:3
B) 18:31
C) 15:27
D) 2:5
Solution:

In 1990, sales of Kawasaki = \(\frac{264000}{1.1\times1.2}\)  = 200000

Sales of Aprilla AS-X 100 =  \(\frac{544500}{1.1\times1.1\times1.5}\)  =300000

Ratio of sales of Kawasaki to that of Aprilla is 2 : 3.
