plz clarify (Question: 186268.0 )

in question it was asked that true discount on a sum it means here sum refer to principle amount..... so it is asked to find principal amount excluding interest but the solution is saying that sum=principal+interest. how it's possible sir.?

Question:
The true discount on a sum of money due 2 years hence at 5% is Rs. 15. Find the amount.
Options:
A) 150
B) 165
C) 170
D) 160
Solution:
Ans: (b)
