Question:

Efficiency of A is 1.25 times more than that of B. If B can level a circular plot of radius 50 ft in t hrs, the radius of a circular plot which A can level in the same time would be

Options:
A)

 75 ft

B)

 112.5 ft

C)

 62.5 ft

D)

 None of these

Solution:

As Efficiency of A is 1.25 more than B so Efficiency of A will be =1+1.25=2.25 , So Efficiency of A : Efficiency of B = 9 : 4

The areas that A and B can level in the same time will be in the ratio of 9 : 4, so the radii of the respective plots must be in the ratio 3 : 2.

Hence, the radius of the circular plot which A can level in the same time would be 50 * 3/2 = 75 ft.
