     In a triangle ABC, AD is the median through A and E is the midpoint of AD and BE produced meets AC at F. AF is equal to – 

Options:
A)

  AC5   

B)

Solution:

  

In ∆AGD

AE = GD

So, AF = FG ... (i)

In ∆BCF

CD = BD

So, FG = CG ……(ii)

From (i) and (ii), we get

AF=FG=CG

=> AF = AC3
