Even if the most lenient and charitable view is taken, Mandeep cannot be completely _____ of the blame.
Options:
A) saved
B) stripped
C) absolved

Solution:

Absolved means 'free from guilt'

As the sentence talks about the leniency and charitable view and the sentence after but become contrary and is negative.

So, option (c) is more apt.
