The solution should be 50

No. of students playing game = 450-50= 400
No. of students playing football = 325 ( its football only + football and cricket both)
No. of students playing cricket = 175 ( its cricket only + cricket and football both)
Total No. of students playing cricket and football = (325+175-400)/ 2
=50
(Divide by 2 because {cricket and football both} has occured twice)

Please correct me or your solution.

Question:
Out of 450 students in a school, 325 play Football, 175 play Cricket and 50 neither play Football nor Cricket. How many students play both Football and Cricket?
Options:
A) 50
B) 100
C) 75
D) 225
Solution:
Ans: (b)

Number of students playing game = 450 - 50 = 400

Number of students playing Football = 325

Number of students playing Cricket = 175

Total number of students playing Football+Cricket

= 325+175=500

\(therefore\) Number of students playing both game

= 500 - 400 = 100

It won't be divided by two. The number of students who are counted twice are the number of students who play 2 games. so The number exceeding 400 will be the number of students who are counted twice. Hence when we add 325+175 = 500, 100 students are counted twice which means 100 students play both the games
