DIRECTIONS: Following questions are based on the pie-chart given below:


Constituents of sun rays received in 1 min.


Total Sunrays received in 1 min. = 3600 unit

The amount of Alpha rays received in 2 minutes is how much more/less than the amount of Radio waves, received in 4 minutes?

Options:
A) 1200 unit less
B) 1320 unit more
C) 1440 unit less
D) 1600 unit more
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Alpha rays received in 2 minutes 

= \(\cfrac{36}{360}\times3600\times2=720\) units

Radio waves received in 4 minutes  

= \(\cfrac{54}{360}\times3600\times 4=2160\) units

Hence, Alpha rays received in 1440 unit less than Radio waves.

Alpha rays = 360 X 10%= 36
Radio waves = 360 x 15%=54
