options have changed (Question: 278413.4 )

what i had selected as answers are not same as the marks shown . no use of taking the test if such things happen. plz rectify. and plz dont claim that i had marked wrong answers. anyone will tell that options have changed in english test.

DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, some of the sentences have errors and some are correct. Find out which part of the sentence has an error.

In Singapore my brother-in-law with his wife  were present at the function.

Options:
A) In Singapore
B) my brother-in-law with his wife
C) were present at the function
D) No error
Solution:

Solution: (c) Replace 'were' with 'was'. The phrase 'brother-in-law and his wife' make a singular entity, so 'was' should be used.
