Pillar X is in which direction with respect to Pillar Y ?

I.Z is to the south of Y.

II.M is to the west of Z and to the south of X.

Options:
A) Neither I nor II is sufficient.
B) Only either I or II is sufficient.
C) Only II is sufficient
D) Both are sufficient
Solution:
Ans: (a)

if x is west of y then m is south of x and if x if south west of y then also m is south of x. so correct answer is option(a).

I too first thought D is the answer. But the distances between the pillars X Y Z & M are not given. So if we vary the distance between M & X, X could be either NW or SW of Y.
