Incomplete solution and these bastards sell mocks.

Question:

A deluxe bus left point P for point Q. Three hours later a super fast bus left point P for Q and arrived at Q at the same time as the deluxe bus. If the deluxe and super fast bus left simultaneously from the opposite ends P and Q towards each other. They would meet 2 hours after the start. How much time did it take the deluxe bus to travel from P to Q.

Solution:

Let the speed of Deluxe bus = D

And the speed of super fast bus = S

Distance between the P and Q = (D + S)2

$\begin{matrix} \frac{(D + S) 2}{D} - \frac{(D + S) 2}{S} = 3 \\ \Rightarrow (1 + \frac{S}{D}) - (\frac{D}{3} + 1) = \frac{3}{2} \\ L e t (\frac{S}{D}) = x \\ x - \frac{1}{x} = \frac{3}{2} \\ \Rightarrow x^{2} - 1 = \frac{3}{2} x \\ \Rightarrow 2 x^{2} - 2 = 3 x \\ 2 x^{2} - 3 x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2 \Rightarrow \frac{3}{D} = 2 \end{matrix}$

Time taken by deluxe bus = $\frac{(D + S) 2}{D}$

$= (1 + \frac{S}{D}) 2 = (1 + 2) 2 = 6 h r s .$
