NO COMPLETE SOLUTION GIVEN (Question: 336941.0 )

PLEASE PROVIDE WITH THE COMPLETE SOLUTION OF THE QUESTIONS AS IT HELPS IN BUILDING UP THE SHORTCUT TECHNIQUES OF THE STUDENTS.

Question:

A cycles at a speed of 4 m/s for first  8 seconds, 5 m/s for next 8 seconds, 6 km/h for next 8 seconds and so on. B cycles at a constant speed of 6.5 m/s throughout. If A and B had to cycle for a 400 m race, how much lead in terms of distance, can A give B and still finish at the same time as B?

D)

A can't give a lead as B is always ahead of A
