In question, it is mentioned as 3/4 where as in answer explanation, it is given as 3/2

Question:

A does half as much work as B in \(\cfrac{3}{4}\) of the time. If together they take 18 days to complete the work, then how much time shall B alone take to do it?

Options:
A) 30 days
B) 40 days
C) 45 days
D) 50 days
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Let B can complete the whole work in x days.

Thus, A will complete the whole work in \(\cfrac{3}{2}\)x days.

A.T.Q.,

\(\cfrac{\cfrac{3}{2}x}{\cfrac{5}{2}}=18\Rightarrow x= 30\) days
