When new diagonal is 20√2 than how your side become 20 ? Please explain

Question:

The area of square is 800 square mt. A new square is formed such as the length of the diagonal of this square is  12     multiple of the first square. Find the area of new square.

Options:
A)

4002    m2 

B)

400 m2 

C)

8002    m2

Dear Student,

New diagnol is 20(root 2),
And by formula Diagnol= Side(root 2)
Comparing both, we get side = 20
Thus area = 20*20=400
