Question:
DIRECTIONS: The question given below contain two statements giving certain data. You have to decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient for answering the question? Mark answer-

How many children are there in the class?

(I) Number of boys and girls are in the respectively ratio of 3:4.

(II) Number of girls is more than the number of boys by 18.

Options:
A) If statement I alone is sufficient but statement II alone is not sufficient.
B) If statement II alone is sufficient but statement I alone is not sufficient.
C) If each statement alone (either I or II) is sufficient.
D) If statement I and II together are sufficient.
Solution:
Ans: (d) I. Ratio of boys and girls = 3 K : 4 K

From I and II

\(\Rightarrow\) 4 K - 3 K = 18 \(\Rightarrow\) K = 18

\(\therefore\) 4 K + 3 K = 18 × 7 = 126
