9*4- 2 = 36-2 = 34

(9-2)*4 = 28

similarly 

(1-1)*6 = 0

Here we apply 4*(9-2)= 4*7= 28 similarly 161= 6*(1-1)= 6*0= 0, Thus given logic is correct.
