it should be mentioned that anshul invests 85k per year without any increment .

Question:
Gaurav opened a workshop investing Rs. 40000. He invested additional amount of Rs. 10000 every year. After 2 years his friend Anshul joined him with an amount of Rs. 85000. Thereafter, Anshul did not invest any additional amount. On completion of 4 years from the opening of workshop, they earned a profit of Rs. 97500. What will be Gaurav's share in the profit ?
Options:
A) Rs. 55000
B) Rs. 66000
C) Rs. 75000
D) Rs. 45000
Solution:
Ans: (a) The amount of money, Gaurav invested in workshop

= 40000 + 50000 + 60000 + 70000 = 220000

The amount of money, Anshul invested in workshop

= 85000 × 2 = 170000

So, the ratio of their profit = 220000 : 170000

Total profit = Rs. 97500

So, Gaurav's share in the profit

= \(\cfrac{22}{22 + 17}\)  × 97500 = Rs. 55000
