here the pass marks would be 200
20%=80 marks; then 10%is 40 marks and he passed with 40 marks whish is 10%. so the pass marks would be 50% which is 200 marks

Question:

When a student score 60% marks then he is passed with 40 marks. But when a student score 40% marks then he is failed by 40 marks. Find pass marks.
