on counting also I got 19 triangles as an answer.

There is no formula for the triangle counting in shapes.
So for the triangle question its best to count and check, but you count this in a sequence for more accuracy.
Start counting from the single parts how many triangle are formed, then joining two parts count how many triangles are formed, the same way apply continued.
From this you will find triangles in any shape very easy.
