error in question..

Question:
Two cyclists start from the same place in opposite directions. One goes towards north at 18 km/hr and the other goes towards south at 20 km/hr. What time will they take to be 47.5 km ?
Options:
A) 2 \(\cfrac{1}{4}\) hours
B) 1 \(\cfrac{1}{4}\) hours
C) 2 hours 23 minutes
D) 23 \(\cfrac{1}{4}\) hours
Solution:
Ans: (b)

1st is moving North at 18 kmph i.e +18 kmph, 2nd towards south at 20kmph i.e -20kmph,

New velocity of 1st wrt 2nd would be = v(1st)-v(2nd)

I.e. 18-(-20)

=38kmph

Now distance to be covered is 47.5km

Therefore time=distance/velocity(relative)

=47.5/38

=1.25 hours..
